Safeguarding Vulnerable People

The Safeguarding Vulnerable People Heathrow Forum, is chaired by Heathrow Travel-Care, and has evolved from work with young unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees.

This group has now widened its remit to include safeguarding issues in respect of any vulnerable people who may pass through Heathrow.

Current attendees include representatives of agencies working in anti trafficking, asylum support, mental health and child protection. This 6 monthly forum identifies current and forthcoming issues relating to vulnerable persons who may come to Heathrow, and shares risk management strategies and current best practice, to the benefit of the airport community.

If you are interested in attending this group or presenting new work, please contact the Lead Worker, Ross Erlam at Heathrow_Travel_care@baa.com.
